Gordie was a Saint Bernard — a gentle giant weighing over 180 lbs, with an enormous appetite and an even bigger heart.

He is the reason this site exists. Homemade cooking started with him: wanting to know exactly what he was eating, and wanting to show him love the way people have always shown love — by cooking for the people (and dogs) they care about.

He passed away in October 2025. His recipes live on, now made for Sailor.
